Morning Explorers Preschool is thankful and excited to reopen following Hurricane Helene. We’re here to serve our area families and youth in this very difficult time.
A return to normal and some familiar structure and interaction is desperately needed – not just for the kids, but parents too. For many of our families it’ll be the first time since Sept 26 that they’ve been apart from their kids for even a second. It may be an emotional initial separation, but a needed break to get some things done.
Morning Explorers will be running preschool Tuesday October 8th-11th from our Founder’s house in Black Mountain for children from the age of 3-8. Our utilities have been restored. Drinking water and food can be provided, if you are in need.
First responders needing child care, please contact us.
Hurricane Helene hit Western North Carolina hard, and our immediate communities of Black Mountain and Swannanoa were no exception. We have family and friends that lost everything and our path to recovery will be long and difficult. But our community has pulled together and so many from far and wide have rushed in to provide support.
Thank you for your Prayers and support. We’ll get through this. And our team at Morning Explorers will continue to shower our kids with the love, instruction and interaction that they need, regardless of what’s going on around us.
